Do ARDESUN products contain controversial ingredients?
ARDESUN formulas were developed with particular attention to ingredient selection. They do not contain chemical UV filters for sunscreen, nor DEET or alcohol for the repellent stick. The goal is to offer simple, understandable, and above all, effective formulas!
We've all been disappointed by so-called “natural” products: promising on paper, but unpleasant to use daily. Formulas that run, sticks that are too hard or too soft, complicated application, inconsistent effectiveness... These limitations are often what hinder their adoption. It is precisely on these points that we have concentrated our efforts. ARDESUN formulas have been developed to offer a simple, reliable, and practical user experience, in order to bring natural products closer to the expected usage standards.
Are ARDESUN products heat-resistant in the summer?
Yes, ARDESUN formulas were developed to remain reliable even in summer conditions. The sunscreen maintains a stable texture, even at high temperatures: it was notably tested in an oven at 40°C with no significant softening observed. The repellent stick follows the same logic with the same testing protocol, with durability adapted to heat, without becoming unusable or runny.
However, as with any cosmetic product, it is still recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures (a car in direct sunlight, a closed bag in high heat), but under normal usage conditions, ARDESUN products have been designed to accompany you with peace of mind all summer long.
Does ARDESUN sunscreen leave a white cast?
Like all mineral sunscreens, it may leave a slight visible film upon application. The formula has been developed to minimize this effect while maintaining very high SPF 50 protection. For a more even finish, apply a small amount, then spread it gradually.
Can you swim with ARDESUN sunscreen?
Yes, ARDESUN sunscreen is designed for outdoor activities, including swimming. Its anhydrous formula forms a protective film that stays on the skin, even during active conditions. However, as with any sunscreen, it is recommended to reapply after swimming, after towel-drying, or if sweating, to maintain optimal protection levels.
The formula was also developed with a focus on limiting its impact on aquatic environments, by favoring mineral filters and a carefully selected range of ingredients. This does not negate the need to adopt good practices when swimming, such as avoiding excessive product use and applying it beforehand.
Should ARDESUN sunscreen be reapplied often?
Yes. Sunscreen needs to be reapplied regularly, especially after swimming, sweating, or towel drying. Even with high protection, it is recommended to avoid prolonged exposure, especially during the hottest hours.
Can sunscreen and repellent stick be used on the same outing?
Yes, both products were designed for the same outdoor life moments: sun, heat, mosquitoes, vacation, light sports, or walks. First, apply sunscreen to exposed areas, then use the repellent stick on the affected areas as needed.
What is the difference between ARDESUN stick repellent and a classic spray?
